History

The Vividha Vidya Pratishthan’s Vishnu R. Gauns Memorial Higher Secondary School is established in June, 1994 with Arts and Commerce streams in village Navelim of Bicholim taluka. Our school is being centrally located in the most convenient place to cater to the needs of the students of Navelim as well as the neighboring villages. It was started with a strong urge to provide personalized approach and attention in imparting the knowledge to prepare rural students to face competitive world, which otherwise was diminishing in the Urban Education Centers due to over-crowding. To meet the growing demand of vocation education and in accordance with National Policy of Education, in the year 1995-96 Society introduced the vocational course ‘Office Secretaryship and Stenography’, in 2000-2001 ‘Automobile Engineering Technology’, then in 2003-2004 ‘Health Care Science’.
